Creating the Connections is a flexible resource kit aimed at developing students’ literacy and ICT skills as well as project planning and teamwork skills. These skills are built up over a series of ten sessions during which students work together to create digital stories about their local community.
The session plans encourage peer mentoring. They are accompanied by a range of student handouts and tasks, which teachers can customise to suit individual and class group needs.
The resource kit has been developed to suit the diverse needs of students in a range of locations and educational settings.
A program outline and advice on preparing to use the resource with students. It includes information on ICT requirements and aligns sessions to the Certificate in General Education for Adults (CGEA) and the Certificate in Spoken and Written English (CSWE).
